There are a number of online outlets for publishing and distributing your press release. Two of the more popular sites for iPhone apps are PRMac and PRWeb. Both sites offer excellent service with very good results although they vary in price and capabilities. PRMac (www.prmac.com) offers good capability and distribution of your article at a very affordable price, less than $20 per press release at the time of this writing. They also offer free immediate distribution. If you want to specify a time and date, then there is a charge. They are focused on all news that is Mac related. You can select iPhone as a distribution category when you launch your press release. PRWeb (www.prweb.com) offers very solid online PR services with lots of flexibility. At the time of this writing their prices ranged from $80 to $360 depending on how much coverage and how many options you wished to add. Most iPhone/iPad app press releases will need at least the $200 option to get the best coverage. If you wish to add embedded video to your press release, then you will need to add $160 to the cost, bringing your total to $360. PRWeb has the potential to reach millions of readers and tens of thousands of news sites and bloggers. It is an excellent service with great coverage and depth. A number of developers are using PRWeb for their first press release announcing the availability of their app on the App Store. They follow this up with additional press releases about their app using PRMac which is less expensive. Doing multiple press releases every month or so helps keep your app in front of your buyers and helps you to build your brand.
